This electric de-scaling machine is a flexible-shaft-driven, hand-held scaling tool designed for removing rust, scale, old paint, and other surface deposits on ship decks, hulls, tanks, and steel structures. The motor is mounted on a skid base and drives the hand tool through a flexible shaft, so the operator only handles a lightweight working head — ideal for corners, edges, vertical surfaces, and confined areas where walk-behind machines cannot reach.

A wide range of interchangeable working heads is available: scaling heads for heavy rust and scale chipping, and wire brushes for cleaning and polishing, making one machine suitable for the whole surface preparation job. The 0.55 kW (3/4 HP) motor runs at 3,000 rpm and features overload protection for safe operation. Supplied with a 3 m cable, this machine is 25% lighter than comparable models, reducing operator fatigue.
