Holding Magnets for Pilot Ladder – Safe & Removable Anchorage

Our pilot ladder holding magnets (also known as pilot ladder magnets or yellow magnets) are specifically designed for marine pilot boarding operations. These magnets provide a secure, removable anchorage point on the ship's hull, allowing pilot ladders to be safely attached without permanent fixtures. Made with high-strength neodymium magnets, resin-encapsulated and powder-coated in safety yellow, they are built to withstand harsh marine environments with no internal moving parts or seawater ingress points.

Available in a range of holding forces from 300 kg to 800 kg, these magnets can be certified by CCS or DNV upon request. Installation is simple: place the magnet on the steel hull using the handle, secure the pilot ladder with rope, and remove by lifting the handle when done. Always use two magnets symmetrically on either side of the ladder for stability. Maintenance is minimal—clean the contact surface with a wire brush as needed. Supplied in cardboard or wooden packaging.
