The tape features a durable stainless steel blade with clear metric and inch graduations, ensuring accurate readings in both systems. It comes with a chrome-plated brass plumb bob for precise sinking and is wound on a sturdy frame with a handle for easy carrying and operation.

To use, apply water-finding paste or oil-finding paste to the plumb bob and the lower section of the tape. Lower the tape vertically into the tank until it contacts the bottom. Retrieve and read the level where the paste changes color, indicating the interface between oil and water or the product level.
